Loan Servicer Update

Effective July 1, 2019 Caltech will have a new loan service provider, Educational Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI). ECSI will administer all the billing, payments, and other services for the Federal Perkins, Caltech, and Institute loan programs. ACS/Conduent Educational Services will no longer service any loans for Caltech.

Federal Direct Loans

Federal Direct Stafford Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loans

Students with a Federal Direct Stafford Loan, Subsidized or Unsubsidized, log in to the Federal Direct Lending site where you will be able to : (a) Complete online authentication by entering your FAFSA pin, then (b) complete the Entrance Counseling, and finally (c) sign the Promissory Note online.

First-Time Borrowers of Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans

For first-time Stafford Loan borrowers, there is a 30-day waiting period until disbursement. If you have questions regarding the Federal Direct loan you may contact the Department of Education Direct Loan Servicing Center at (800) 433-3243 or visit their website at https://studentaid.gov/h/manage-loans.
